Solblossi is an immersive media sculpture created by Juan Azulay to accompany Sigur Rós in their Liminal Soundbath performances at NeueHouse in Los Angeles and HARPA in Reykjavik, Iceland. Designed as a digital, interactive solar flare, the installation responded in real time to the band’s soundboard, generating endless color sequences and patterns via a custom C++ interface. Produced by Maavven, the project featured contributions from fine artist Perry Hall, code artist Jonathan Morris-Jones, and LED artist Pete Thornbury, creating a fully immersive audiovisual experience that merged performance, light, and sound.
